Dragons Dream TIO #169 - The letter "N" and a Stencil

This time over at the Dragons Dream TIO Helen has chosen the theme, she would love to see the letter "N" and "Stencils" on your tag, along with at least one real stamped image.
I've been playing with watercolour card again inking up and dripping water on to take some ink back off again, love how you get a different pattern every time. I then stippled Picked Raspberry through my stencil, added the IndigoBlu butterfly, and used a paintbrush to add a little more ink around the edges. Love the alpha grunge font from Kaisercraft, it's so useful and lives on my desk!
So there we are again another two stamp, two ink pad piece just to show you don't need much to start out stamping!!
We would love you to join in our challenge, just please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge - Bleach Blocking

Just a little reminder that our June Take It Make It challenge over at the Craft Stampers Blog is in full flow! The bleach blocking technique is a fabulous way of creating a background, and very easy! Love these little Fella's from Crafty Individuals, they always make me smile, even though they do look a little green lol.
The Design Team have created some amazing projects to inspire you and we have a fantastic prize from IndigoBlu up for grabs, and if that wasn't enough, the winner will also be featured in an upcomming issue of The Craft Stamper magazine as well. So whats to loose, have a go at the bleach blocking technique, add some stamps and create a link back to the blog so we can check out your entries, good luck, Elizabeth xxx

Craft Stampers Take It Make It Challenge for June - Bleach Blocking!!

Our new Take It Make It Challenge over at the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog starts this morning. If you've already had your magazine by subscription you will have had a sneaky peek at the "bleach blocking" technique, if not then the magazine is available from today in all good craft shops and WH Smiths.
I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and make something bright (think I managed that one lol.) So inked up a background of Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks, then taking the name literally, got the cleaning spray out! This does work with water, but I wanted a more dramatic look, for my background.
Sprayed the bleach cleaner on to a plate and used a couple of different sized make-up sponges to create the blocks. The ink disappeared before my eyes lol, but how cool is that background, I didn't want to cover it up!
In the end I decided to use the "Uptown Girl " stamp from Stampingbella, coloured with Promarkers and cut out, so most of the background could still be seen.
I had great fun (as you probably guessed) with this technique and I'm sure you will too, please remember to stamp on your project and also to have a direct link back to the project on your blogs, so the DT can check out your creations.
As always we have a fabulous prize up for grabs and the winner will have their card printed in a future copy of the Craft Stamper Magazine.
Good luck and I'll see you over at the blog!

Imagination Crafts June Challenge - All That Glitters

The challenge over at the Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog this month is "All That Glitters".  I am determined to catch up and join in challenges, as May was such a busy month for me and it just flew by with no spare time left to play!
Love the Honeysuckle corner stencil and use it lots on all kinds of projects. For a change this time I've stippled though with Distress Inks, cleaned the stencil and then applied my very last scraping of Diamond Sparkle Medium though, (the sparkle can been seen better if you click on the picture). Finally adding the sentiment in shabby Shutters Distress Ink to match the colour scheme of the stencil.

Dragons Dream TIO #168 - The Letter "I" and Butterflies

It's my turn over at the Dragons Dream TIO Challenge to choose the theme, and I guess you all know I love butterflies! So along with the beautiful little winged creatures I would love to see the letter "I" involved, and of course at least one real stamp on your tag.
The stamps used on my tag are Tim Holtz along with his Butterfly Frenzy strip die and a Spellbinders frame for the sentiment.
I didn't realise at the time I chose the paper for the butterflies it was called Oscar Wilde - Temptation!
So lets hope this "tempts" you in to joining in with our TIO Challenge this time!
