PDCC 70

Here's my offering for this weeks challenge over at the PDCC. The colours they have chosen this week are green, blue and a burnt orange. I do have a small confession, I haven't decided what to do with this yet, so it doesn't have a base card, shsssss don't tell!
Have been playing with the Cindy Loo cartridge for cricut and love the doily's on there! I used DCWV cardstock along with some Anna Griffin backing paper for the shadow layer. I shaded the animals around the edges with promarkers and added some petaloo flowers that I'd changed the colour of, and also some gems. Very "twee" for me and not a splodge of distress ink in sight LOL Elizabeth x

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 141 Shabby Chic

Love is one thing not in the air at Chez Robinson this morning, especially for the bloke who stole Hubby's motorbike at 5am!!!
Over at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog this week we have gone Shabby Chic, which I must confess is one of my favourite styles of crafting. The background papers are from Cosmo Cricket, and already have a distress look to them, I just added a little bit more by running the edge of the paper through my scissors, and inking around with black soot. The flowery border was made with the reverse side of the plain paper, and fake stitches were added using a HOTP stamp (slight cheat but hey). All of the other stamps used are Sir Tim's and stamped out using black soot. If you look closely you will see that I've over stamped the flowers stamp in versamark, and embossed with Sheena's neutral ultra shimmer powder, it gives a gorgeous sparkle and also adds texture at the same time. I used a Nellie Snellon die to cut out the frame for the focal point and added bows to finish the card off. Hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and it's a fab prize Steph has sponsored us with. Rainbow Lady's Challenge 140 use a CD

Phew have raced back from work to post this one, could do with a rest on those fluffy big cushions! Here's my DT card for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week "Use a CD". The digi image of the chatty girl on the phone and the scatter cushions were given to us by Amber Inks, and made me think about lounging on the patio in the sunshine so I chose a background from the Cute Companions Outdoors CD (can you tell I've had enough of winter?) and decided that it was officially summer!!!! The images were coloured in with promarkers, cut out, and added to the background, very simple!! Hope you enjoy and pop over to join in the challenge this week! Elizabeth x

TIO 67 Time to Tag!

These are some of the stamps that my furry little friend bought me for Christmas, he always knows what I like clever lad! Another Saturday night and Oscar not only looks cute but smells gorgeous after his welcome to the New Year bath LOL. Can't believe how old he is, yet he looks (and is acting just like a puppy today) after his haircut.
So here's my offering from the pampered craft room!!!
I've been playing with brushed corduroy, vintage photo, tea dye, antique linen and black soot distress inks. With Sir Tim's Visual Artistry clear stamps, and a little help from Sheena's pearl gold sparkle WOW powder. I love this sentiment, I just think it's so true.... Hope you like Elizabeth

Play Date Cafe Challenge 68

As we are approaching Wedding season I thought I'd use this weeks colour scheme to top up my Wedding cards for the craft market.
The stamp is from Inkadinkado embossed with Silver Bells WOW powder and a touch of colour added with Promarkers. The backing papers are K&Co, another of my old faithful stash, mounted on to Bazzil Basic card. The flowers are cut out using Crealies Dies and the paper lace was an odd bit that had been floating around my desk for ages. The self adhesive pearls are a bargain from my local craft shop in Llandudno, at a £1 per sheet - good hey!!! Hope you like Elizabeth x

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 139 All about Love

This week over at Rainbow Lady's challenge we are being sponsored by Chi Chi Memories who provided us with some fab valentines images.
I love this little row of heart flowers I just think that they are so quirky and fun. I coloured the flowers in with Inktense pencils, and then blended the colours with a paintbrush and water. I added some hand drawn stitching around the edge just to create a border. The plaid backing paper, and also the ribbon are from the HOTP citrus collection. I decided not to go for traditional valentine colours, but for fresh spring ones instead so I chose a bright lime green card for the base! I finished off by adding some more fake stitches around the edge of the plaid paper. Hope you like the challenge this week and pop over to join in. Happy Valentines Elizabeth x

Play Date Cafe Challenge 67

Ups not quite straight, but not bad for me LOL. A very quick card from me as I didn't want to miss playing this week. The love bird stamps are by Dulcie Jackson and embossed with Sheena's wow powder before being coloured in using Inktense pencils. The word "love" was cut out on Cricut and I think it was on the "wall decor and more" cartridge. The fab spotty backing paper is one of Anna Griffins. A virtual valentine from me!! Hugs Elizabeth x

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 138 Chinese New Year

This week over on Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog we are celebrating Chinese New Year and have a fab prize from Joanna Sheen.
Unfortunately the very glossy cardstock I've used dosen't show up very well when scanned, I promise to sort my camera soon!! The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and for a change I've stamped onto gold card and embossed with Sheena's red glitz wow powder, which is gorgeous! Took a while to remember how to fold the paper to make the Kimono, several attempts later I managed to make two that didn't look like shirts LOL and added a strip of gold paper as a sash (I know but I can't remeber what it's called LOL).
Happy New Year Elizabeth x

TIO #66 Zentangle

Here's my offering for Frankie's TIO Challenge this week, Zentangle!! I've used two stamp's on this tag, the Unicorn from Lavinia, and the diamonds from Tim Holtz. They are both stamped out in Memento Tuxedo black ink. The rest of the doodling's are drawn free hand with a black fine line pen. I've added a splash of colour with a couple of promarker pens, although I was tempted to leave it black and white for a change. Happy Crafting Elizabeth xxx
